What moves the price

Feet of roofline

The biggest number. A long single-story ranch can carry more feet than a compact two-story.

Height and roof type

Two-story ridges, steep pitches and tile roofs take more time and the right clips.

Trees and palms

Each tree is priced by height and trunk; tall palms may need a lift.

Entry and railings

Wreaths, garland, columns and stair rails are added by size.

Seasonal or permanent

Seasonal is priced per season; permanent is a one-time install that stays up.

Returning client

Stored, labeled lights go back up faster — the second season is cheaper to hang.

What typical homes add up to

Single-story home, front rooflineabout 150 ft at $5 – $8 per foot, our LED, install, service and takedown$900 – $1,400
Two-story home with gables and garageroofline and gables, garage outline, entry wreath$1,400 – $2,500
Front roofline + 2 palms + entrythe most common Jacksonville design$1,200 – $2,100
Permanent LED, typical homeabout $25 – $45 per foot, app-controlled, stays up year-round$3,000 – $8,000

How to spend less

If the budget is tight, light the front roofline and the entry first — that is what people see from the street — and add palms next year. Booking in October takes $100 off, and returning clients pay less to re-hang because the lights are already cut and labeled. Services behind these prices

Christmas light cost FAQ

How much does it cost to have Christmas lights installed in Jacksonville?

$5 to $8 per foot of roofline for seasonal lights, all-inclusive, with homes from $799 and most between $900 and $2,500. Palms are $75 to $250 per tree and an entry wreath with garland starts at $150.

Is it cheaper to buy lights and hang them myself?

The bulbs are the smaller part. You also buy clips, timers and cords, spend a weekend or two on a ladder and another taking it down, and store it all. Our price includes commercial-grade LED, service and takedown.

Why is permanent lighting so much more?

It is a permanent fixture: a track, addressable LEDs and a controller installed once and used all year. Over several seasons it can cost less than paying for seasonal installs every year.

Do you charge for the quote?

No. The design visit, mock-up and written price are free.

Is there a discount for booking early?

Yes — $100 off when you book by October 31.

What is the Christmas light installation price per foot?

$5 to $8 per foot of roofline for seasonal lights, all-inclusive. The rate covers our commercial LED, clips, timer, installation, service calls and January takedown.

How much does it cost to put Christmas lights on a house?

A typical Jacksonville house runs $900 to $2,500 with the roofline, a few palms and the front entry. Homes start at $799; large estates with many trees run more.

Are professional Christmas lights worth it?

If you value your weekends and your safety on a two-story roof, usually yes. The price includes commercial-grade lights that last, straight cut-to-length runs, service if a section goes dark and takedown in January.

Do Christmas light installers provide the lights?

Most full-service installers do, and we do: our commercial LED is included in the price and stays our property. Returning clients' lights are stored between seasons.

Do you tip Christmas light installers?

Tipping is optional and never expected. If you'd like to, many people tip what they would for any home-service crew at the holidays — or leave an honest review, which helps a local company most.
